In spoke with Brian this evening and he was wondering....

since he already has the tooling, would there be any intrest in a 1959 ElCamino and 1959 Sedan Delivery wagon in both stock AND custom versions? Let him know.

Absolutely. However, before those, how about a Brookwood station wagon, first?

Positively for stock, "maybe" for custom

Bring on something new

The '59 Sedan Delivery would be something new... I'm in!

Jim, I think a stock '59 El Camino would be very popular with collectors.

Speaking only for myself, there are many stock cars out there that I would love to add to my collection, customs are not even considered yet.

I think this may be the case with many but there are some who go for the customs.

I'm on the fence for the sedan-delivery. I would rather have the El Camino in two different colors than a delivery.

If they want to do a wagon type body, go with a standard station wagon as it would probably draw more buyer interest.

After doing the '59 El Camino they might want to think about a '60 El Camino to keep it company.

I would buy one of each stock version, I'm not into customs.

One thing I would definitely buy is a bubble top 62 Bel Air.

If they can make an El Camino from the 59 Impala it should be much easier to do a bubble top Bel Air from the 62 Impala.

I agree, I would prefer a 59 wagon more than a sedan delivery,

A definite yes to 60 El Caminos and wagons as well.

Definite yes on the El Camino... possibly for the sedan delivery... and I always prefer stock... the way I saw them when I was young. -Bob

Dan , I d like to try and change your mind if I could.

In defense of the Sedan Delivery. During the past 16 years that I have collected, I have watched both Franklin Mint and Danbury Mint put their name on various vehicles in different forms. What about a company that issued a "Vehicle" to announce the founding of the company itself? Then if the company survives (wich they will), they put out a true LE every five years to their original 1000 customers. Here could be the chance to own the first. Brian was thinking along the lines of a very utilitarian looking delivery sedan. However, she would be dressed in Black Pearl with ghost flames. She would have blackwalls, and dog dish hub caps. Giving her a very "humble" appearance. However, when you pop the hood, its that big, bad, beautiful 348 big boy. What would make this delivery wagon unique Would be the miniature raised chrome logo of WCPD on both side panels behind the side door windos. Next to the logo's in gold leaf are the words West Coast Precision Diecast in a beautiful script. Underneath that it reads "Founded December 25,2004. It would be gorgeous while still being utilitarian, have hidden muscle, and be the first "Birthday Car" for the new kids on the block. Now I think that would be a real sleeper not to mention (dare I say) collectable. . Please take these thoughts to sleep with you for the next couple of nights and see if I can change your mind. Thanks for reading,
Jim
