Oh come on now John...
Can you really believe that ? The profits from those U.S.
assembled Toyotas go back to Tokyo, while the worldwide
profits of Ford and GM come HERE to the U.S.A. !!

Doug, get a Ford.
I go to a lot of horse shows and the majority of people pulling heavy multi-horse trailers are using Ford pickups.
Ford Diesels are very popular too as a trip to Oklahoma or even further is not uncommon.
Fords are rugged and dependable.

Nothing wrong with Toyota but just compare the 2011 Grand Cherokee the the 4 runner. The Jeep is stunning..and superior off road. The overland can be had for cheaper than the 4 runner trail which has a rental car vinyl stering wheel. Toyota has really cheapened their interiors. The new Dodge Ram is great too with class only coil rear suspension.

Good for you Doug and I feel the same way!
I recently saw a veteran (Vietnam) driving a late 70s Toyota PROUDLY waving not one, but TWO HUGE American Flags from the roof! In the late 70s Toyotas were NOT made or assembled here as far as I know so one cannot argue that its "built in America" so.. That sight was enought to make me SICK! Now dont get me wrong if you want to drive ANY car go out and buy it, but you wont always get my approval (not that anyones' looking for it! LOL). I never bought other then American and want to continue doing this. My next car might be a Fusion, Mustang or Lincoln MKZ or MKS I know, each is nothing like the other! LOL It more then likely WILL be a Ford Product though!

An article this week in our local newspaper confirms that Toytota plans to...
An article this week in the San Antonio Express News confirms that Toytota plans to increase production of Tundras here in San Antonio, Texas, USA, and add the Tacoma truck to the line. They don't expect that they will even be able to meet demand with their current annual capacity of 200,000 vehicles and will need to "increase line speed, pay overtime and possibly hire additional employees."
