What do you wagon people think about someone like Goldvarg making a 1956 Rambler Cross Country faux woodie station wagon?
HA! What do I think about it? I'm unaware Rambler made such a wagon. I'm sure Goldvarg will get around to this one sooner or later, however, there are still many other 1950's cars to be considered: Clippers, Dodges, Lincolns, Plymouths....
@chris These Rambler wagon were plentiful in my area back in the day. I would love to see one done by Goldvarg or GLM.
Done a long time ago by Dinky Toy but with out the wood trim. Even a red fire chief car. A bit smaller than 43rd but nice for the era.
I am still waiting for some early 50s Plymouths and Dodges. These seem to be completely forgotten by model makers. Stellantis must issue licenses as a recently acquired Ram Promaster by Greenlight in UPS livery shows it is a licensed product by Fiat Chrysler.

It is a great idea for Goldvarg (or anyone) to do the wood-grain Rambler station wagon ! I have seen that beautiful advertisement for the green wood-side Rambler before and I can imagine what a sensational replica it would make.

My post of course is for a '56 with the faux wood trim, not other cars that might be made. The Dinky car to me is a toy, it's in the name. The '57 Brooklin I am aware of but it's a '57 and more than that I'm looking for the wood trim in the way of the '56. A '57 had faux wood trim available but a little more subdued. I'm always looking for something for my woodie collection.
@parisi50 Curtis; The 1956 faux wood trim would be my first choice as well. Here is an example of the lesser faux wood trimmed 1957 Rambler that you mention:
Rambler made some really nice station wagons in the 50s and 60s; I had a '63 in this color:
The '62 Rambler Classic is my favorite design:
I would love a 1963 or 4 Rambler Classic. I'll start hunting. Better yet, an American convertible.

When you think about it there are very many great Ramblers that haven't yet been done; at least to a good quality level.
The trim on that (very appealing) yellow Rambler wagon extends all over the roof as well so it looks more like vinyl than wood. And none the worse for that. Quite an attractive trim idea (until the sun and rain get to it and it starts to peel off, of course).
And yes, there are indeed a number of nice Ramblers (and other AMC models) that still need to be done to a decent modern standard.

That 1956 Rambler Cross-Country station wagon would certainly make a remarkably cool 143 release. Since I had previously seen the darker green-wood grain advertisement, I am perhaps partial to that, yet any color of this beauty would be a treat and look fantastic in one's display or when photographed.
