@fred-eliseeff You flatter me. I don't think I am any more knowledgeable about models than many other folks here on the forum - and probably a lot less knowledgeable than some! Back in the days of writing for Model Auto Review, if I needed some background information about a model I was working on, for example, I would just have to search in books or magazines or on the Internet to find details and pictures. I don't have all the information in my head (my head is too small).
If you were to ask me questions about particular models, in many cases I would probably be embarrassed to admit I didn't have the answers. But you are welcome to try. You can contact me at ogg.graeme@outlook.com

@chris-sweetman Did you buy any models by SAMS?
Yes - I bought two Camaro's direct from Richard at ModeleX. They were part of the range he produced for PTH.

Among many white metal companies SAMS is still a mystery for me. Richard was producing different models including 1/32 bikes, the British cars of 70s ( identical to JM Toys by Pathfinder), 30s American cars, 1959 Olds and some 60s and 90s American cars. There were also Ginetta and a series of microcars.
I think that the best way to learn about Richard is to start from beginning. As far as I know he started his model activity working with Richard Briggs in Minimarque 43. Here Hutchins was making boxes and advertisement. In that time there were nicknames- The Big Richard for Briggs and The Little Richard for Hutchins.
In 1989 Richard Hutchins decided to edtablish his own company and named it SAMS. If anybody can add information please welcome.
