1970 Oldsmobile Toronado Product Development Update from Stamp Models

As some of you may be aware, I am currently working with Stamp Models on a 1970 Toronado, due out later this year. Stamp happily agreed to two of my special requests. The first was to develop two wheel options, and the second was to actively gather feedback from collectors during the product development process. So far, the response from collectors about being able to see the progress during the developmental stages has been overwhelmingly positive. Additionally, colors were chosen based on the top-voted selections on the GLM & Stamp Enthusiasts Facebook page. Stamp was curious about the response to product development updates, and may consider doing similar updates on future models. For now, the other three models that we are working on together are being kept under wraps as in the past. Below is an update that was just posted on Facebook. Product development update! The final colors have been chosen for the upcoming 1:43 1970 Oldsmobile Toronado from Stamp Models!You voted, and Stamp listened! @whodeytink, I owned a green one, so this is a no-brainer for me. But I love the blue, too!

I want to give a big thanks to the two gentlemen who assisted with the development of this model. They provided a wealth of information to me, as well as dimensions, photographs, and feedback on the prototypes. This collaboration worked really well, and I am using this same approach on other models that I am developing with Stamp. I hope to be able to announce our next project soon!

The silver belongs to Dan McClellan of Village of Lakewood, IL, and the blue belongs to Dan Scott of Beresford, SD.

Does the green car already have the chrome wheels? Will I need the optional wheels at all?

I finally made a color decision and pre-ordered the Ming Jade version yesterday. Looking forward to this one!

The wheels that come on the Ming Jade and Aegean Aqua are exactly the same as the optional wheels that you can buy for the other colors. Sorry for the confusion!
