I started out serious collecting with the 1/24 Mint offering (and FM's $55 1/43s). Back 30 years ago, most of the 1/43s seemed toy-like to me. Then I found the Great American Dream Machines lineup of concept cars at local shows and I started to empty my wallet when I ran across them. I wasn't internet savvy enough to search for them online way back when, so every show I went to, I hoped that dealer would be there to see what's new. From the Buick Y-Job to the Chrysler Norseman, there wasn't anything like these concepts available in any scale. Over the decades, I've watched my little collection biodegrade and the cements browned and crystallized and the 'chrome' trim became pitted so now they look like intact barn finds. This cute little Chevrolet Corvette "Nomad" is one of the first I took home and still a favorite.

I have the Predictor. I love it, but it's falling apart. My Brooklins have held up fine.

@ed-glorius All those thin panels and glue failure is a bad combination. Mine is still hanging in there.
GADM was a fine line of models, hand formed and really nice. I have a few of them and they're favorites, but I missed the Nomad. It's a beaut!
