Something a little different just added to my collection: a "prototype" 1953 Buick Skylark hardtop.

Well, your "one-off"  does have a 1:1 counterpart.  GM-Buick also created a "one-off"  as a test but nix the idea and produced only convertible Skylarks in 1953.  I realize you know all this; I just think it's a cool story.  Only 2 people have this car.... and you're ONE of them! 😎

@chris Guess my wording was a bit unclear, I should have said "Replica of a one-off Buick by Brooklin"...I only WISH mine was "one of one" LOL

Oops! Yes, it was a bit ambiguous.  LoL  😀 😀  Well then, you really don't have anything,  do you? 😏 😀 😀 😊

I have the model and love it as it is a part of automotive history. Glad to have this model of the 1/1 prototype

Such a shame GM didn't go ahead with this one.

@jack-dodds I agree Jack. The 53 Skylark is one of the most beautiful cars of all times. Had the hardtop been made, it too would have been a sought after collector cars as is the convertible.
