Just finished my conversion from a 4 dr sedan Coronet to a 2 dr htp Custom Royal Lancer. I'm pleased with the results.

Ken, that car is incredible. It could be a Brooklin original given their new level of detail. I too love the color scheme—very ‘50’s. Thanks for showing us your fine work.

Outstanding job.  How did you do the upholstery?

Ken, I like it, a lot!  At first I wasn't sure that you had the side chrome correct, so I checked it out.

Your work is really good!  I must have been confused with the '56, but you have it just about exact.  Well done!  And thanks for posting your results.

@john-quilter. Hi John: I searched classic upholstery fabrics and looked at the images until I found patterns that I liked. I then saved them to a file and reduced or enlarged them until I was satisfied they would look right about 1:43 scale. I then printed them on my ink jet and cut them to size. I either glue them to the seats with white glue or use double sided tape depending on the mood I'm in.

Here's some of the patterns that I have collected. Again, I reduce them where needed.

@kenspear  Clever.  I have used white adhesive backed address label material for this as it seems to stick well to the seats but have never used your real upholstery reduction method.
