I'm a CPA and always buy myself an after tax-season present. This year it was this very cheerful, "jaunty" looking 1950 Dodge Wayfarer Sport Roadster from Brooklin, in Cadet Red:
I especially like the saddle brown interior in this one vs. the lighter one in the green version.
Just looking at this sporty convertible brings a smile to my face!

As you know, these were "discount convertibles" when new and somewhat rare today. It's nice to see a model of it. Congrats!
Brooklin took a bit of modelers liberty with the wire wheels on this one. I do not think these Mopar wires were available until about '53. I changed mine to standard hubcaps and black walls and saved the wires for another project. I have both the coupe and roadster but wish there were more Dodges and Plymouths of this era in model form.

You're probably right about the wire wheels, John, but I like that Brooklin added them, along with the fender skirts and additional side trim, to differentiate the roadster from the business coupe:
And yes Chris, I think that adds to the charm of this little beauty!

These nice Dodge models were offered by Brooklin back when they were still doing models of cars we knew and saw on the streets and in our neighbor’s garage or maybe our own. Would we, for example, see the likes of a ‘59 Chevtolet Brooklwood wagon in todays line up of Brooklins?

Probably won't see another Brookwood David. But we have seen a Desoto, Studebaker, Riviera, Ventura, a police car, Mustang. Which of the recent releases are not typical cars seen on the streets? Going not too much further back, I'm at a loss to see much of anything that is out of the norm or was strictly a museum piece. They all seem to be everyday cars. Am I missing something?

A DeSoto among the recent releases under the present Brooklin leadership! How did I miss this one?

@john-quilter John Q. I share your thoughts about the wire wheels on this price leader car. When I received the model of the roadster I was surprised to see them instead of the steel wheels and hub caps. What did you use to change yours?
@david-knight, there were two versions, the standard Brooklin and an NB Center Collection version

Can't remember but I may have ordered them from Brooklin when Amanda had a quick and easy order scheme. The removed wire wheels went on this Arena kit of a 1954 Dodge Royal hardtop.
