Three models from my collection are presented of Highway Traveler's excellent 1961 Plymouth.
My opinion of course, when Plymouth issued their new lineup of cars for 1960, the style was more extreme than the previous three model years, it seems that with each year the auto maker just kept adding more chrome and more glitz to each. In 1961, the chrome was a bit more subdued, but the overall styling was more extreme. The 1960 influences could still be seen, but the total almost spoke of a "bit of crazy" in the style. Of course, 1962 took "that crazy" to another new level. By 1963, calmer minds and designs were greeting the automotive buyer, a trend that continued throughout the 60s.
With these models, three different body styles have been offered by the model maker, and each captures the total essence of Plymouth's style in 1961.
1961 Plymouth Belvedere 4dr Sedan; in Mint Green
1961 Plymouth Custom Suburban Station Wagon; in Robin Egg Blue & Alpine White
1961 Plymouth Fury Convertible; in Bronze Poly

I consider the 1961 Plymouth style interesting. The front and the tail lights definitely unique. Of the three models you show, I have the bronze convertible. It is nicely done by HWT.

That is cool that you have three of the 1961 body styles. That is something I might do. I'm currently working on 1959 Dodges.

I like the 1961 Plymouth and, as a kid, I had a 1/25 promo model of this car and it was a favorite.
Terrifically modeled! Terrifically photographed!
The '61's are looking cool in scale...great pics of course.
