The story goes that MIlestone Miniatures was owned by a couple, the wife of which really liked the color combo and insisted that it be made. Anyone remember their names?

No, but I think someone posted this pic of them outside their premises, although I could be wrong.
Bernie and Graham du Cros founded Milestone Miniatures in the 1990s. They also had a range of American cars called "43rd Avenue". In the "Gems & Cobwebs" range they sold Jaguar models (at least the first three of them were made by John Hall/Brooklin).
@jkuvakas JK...just ignore the criticism; jealousy shows up in many forms. You own a fleet of these beauties and they just need to accept that and get over it.
@jack-dodds You must have a lot of Dinkies Jack. I have 2-tone blue and pink/green, and the two taxis but not the blue/white version.
I have a fair number still Harv, but many of them were stolen in 2017. Thankfully not my '56 and '57 Plymouths though....so there's the silver lining I suppose.
Of course this all begs the question why all these folks who just love the pink and green Plymouth have taken against the truly sublime pink and green Chevy (for which, if truth be told, I have developed a certain perverse fondness, although granted I do wear dark-tinted glasses when viewing online).
