Of course this all begs the question why all these folks who just love the pink and green Plymouth have taken against the truly sublime pink and green Chevy (for which, if truth be told, I have developed a certain perverse fondness, although granted I do wear dark-tinted glasses when viewing online).
Oh ho.....something tells me we need to watch for Graeme doing a snipe bid on the Chevy!

I don't think a snipe bid from Graeme will come close to John K's shadow bid.....you can buy a pretty nice used car with the closing cost fees John paid for his second mortgage to secure the funds for this model

A remarkable opportunity !
No, no, never.
I only meant I look on this, um THING a little more tolerantly that I used to. But if Pastor K thinks I am a true "convert" (or indeed a rival bidder) that would be way off the mark.
My only concern now is that once he gets a monopoly grip on this item - which is clearly his ambition - it will be bad news for monochromatic collectors everywhere.

Graeme...I would truly like to trust you on this one....but is this just a sly bidder's ploy?
Do you really expect a devious-minded British swine to reveal his hand at this stage? Just wait and see.
(p.s. Just had a text message from my bank asking whether the instructions to make my entire current account holdings available for potential transfer to an overseas vendor were intentional or given under duress. But that may be pure coincidence.)

Does Ebay honor property title deeds?
This auction is getting messy!
I see the bidding position hasn't actually moved on since this item was first posted. But in 2 days, 4 hrs and 56 minutes from now, smoke and flames will be seen rising from internet server farms around the world as millions of auction sniper apps fire up in readiness for the great moment.
We on Forum 43 should all feel a certain pride at our deeply personal connection with this epic event. It has coloured all our lives, and we may never see the like again (or so we may devoutly hope).

Well said Graeme.......I'm becomink verklempt.
This model has been mocked here for years, but I actually liked it. Two-tone works well for me. As far as the real thing, I think they all rusted out by the time I was old enough to pay attention to cars.
Mocked? Mocked?? "Nay!" say I! This pristine and pure expression of innocent and sheltered beauty shall not well endure your vain and farcical scorn without reprisal in kind! I shall spend myself defending her majesty and honor. Cretins! To arms! All ye who love honor, beauty, truth and purity! To arms! We shall defend with our last breath the princess of our technicolor dreams and the queen of our color palettes!

I am amazed at the number of responses to the original post. Whether one likes them, or not, these pink and green cars sure get attention.

This little gem has not only been on a cruise to exotic locales, but it has also visited some of the most prestigious landmarks of our time. Here it is at the Mecca of all things tasteful and sophisticated, South of the Border, SC.

The story goes that MIlestone Miniatures was owned by a couple, the wife of which really liked the color combo and insisted that it be made. Anyone remember their names?
