Goldvarg catalina

I have had this model on advance order from a UK supplier for over two years now. The '61 Pontiac Special wagon which was released about the same time came through OK, despite the Chinese shipping problems, but not this one. It still shows on my account with the dealer as "pending delivery". have just cancelled it because in the meantime I got the Neo '61 Chevrolet HT and as a representative of the '61 GM "bubbletops" that fills the gap nicely. But I just wondered if anyone who ordered the Catalina ever got it, or whether the shipping hold-up affected everyone, or if I just have a dozy dealer. Just curious.

Readily available here in the U.S. and it's very, very nicely done!

Graeme, I think you may want to switch dealers as this one is very available.  It's a beauty!

@jack-dodds  My dealer in the USA has listed the Goldvarg 1961 Comet and 1962 Chevy Nova for quite a while but they keep moving the expected delivery dates forward, now shown as 11-30-21, but  the Goldvarg website shows them to be listed as April and May, 2021 respectively.  Meanwhile other Goldvargs have become available.   Don't understand what is the reason for this.  Is it all about the USA west coast shipping backlog?

I took a quick look at the Goldvarg website and counted over 20 models listed as coming soon, new for 2021 or a past delivery date. The supply chain problem as John Quilter touched on has affected just about everything coming to the US from China. I also play keyboards and the availability of new musical equipment is virtually non existent. Some suppliers have indicated that it could take a year to get new equipment. I worry that the availability of new resin models coming to the US by ship has dried up and the only new releases that we will see are the ones that are flown into the country. I can only assume that Sergio's models come from China. Perhaps he can clarify how the supply chain problem has affected his business and possibly his view of the  future as it related to new releases.

Definitely seek this one out.  I have both colors and they are beautiful.

@kenspear, I'm not sure but I don't think it's a matter of availability of product. I think it's a matter of how long it takes for the product to be unloaded at the ports.

I went for the Twilight Mist version. I received it in December 2019, so I hope you can still find one.

I'm holding out for Brooklins 1961 Pontiac Ventura hardtop. Hope to see it sometime next year.
