I noticed they're having a long running 40% sale, inventory is way down and there's no New Arrival category on the home page.

Jay, I would hope not. American Excellence has been an excellent source for me ever since they opened a few years ago. I have found them to be very professional in every way from having an easy to use website, to prompt shipping, to having the items they list and all shipments are packaged well.

COVID is having a wide-ranging impact on nearly everyone in business, particularly those based in Europe and the UK. Unfortunately, Brexit will add another layer of complication and expense as well.

American Excellence has been hit hard by shipping charges out of Germany and has removed those offerings from their website. In the meantime, as they make "further decisions on how to move forward," they are operating from their remaining stock in the USA.

Interesting.  I had wondered about the lack of new offerings.  I ordered many models from them over the years and like all the NEO items I received.  Hope they can survive.

They have a lot of customers and they provide great service. My bet is they'll find a way to get by until all this clears up.

I've bought four resin models from them:  a BoS 1:18 scale 1958 Cadillac Fleetwood 75 limo in black, a NEO 1:18 scale 1949 Cadillac Club Coupe in maroon, a NEO 1:24 scale 1949 Cadillac Club Coupe in black and a NEO 1:43 scale 1957 Cadillac Coupe de Ville in blue. The few that I had been watching are no longer available. It does appear they are clearing out their US stock.  ☹️

"Unfortunately, Brexit will add another layer of complication and expense as well."

Boris Johnson and his pals never told us that this would ever be the case.

I ordered 4 NEO 1/43s today. These prices finally got me off the fence!

American-Excellence today, March 14, has all stock on sale at 60% off. Very little remains. Sad. Hope they are not going away, but  their future in the US does not look good.

I bought the Scimitar Town Car by Autocult and the DeSoto Adventurer 1 Concept by Matrix on Jan 21.  I must have been lucky because I saw that they were putting everything on sale and didn't have any of the new models like I bought.  I hope they aren't going out of business because they were a good source.

Thank you for the update. I snagged the 1/43 Dodge Travco motor home. Hopefully they pull through.

@big-shady The parent German company (modelcarworld.de) seems alive and well - I counted 325 Spark 1/43s there.
