It's by Durham Classics, and it's a 1951 Monarch. It's stunning in this color, and I think Durham was a great model-maker. I have 5 or 6 of their 1/43s and they absolutely match up with the Brooklins (of the same time) in quality!

@moe-parr. Yes it is, but it is an actual 2 tone that was done by Monarch in 1949.
Certain cars were made for skirts...the Monarch and Mercury for sure...just my opinion of course.

I always thought that too, but John Merritt's version really appeals to me...so much so that I found one on e-Bay and it's arriving next week! Thanks for the inspiration @jcarnutz!
