In a previous post, Sergio mentioned the burden of licensing agreements and royalties to be paid to produce our models.
Are Brooklin Models licensed products? Is it specified on their packaging?

Here's an example of the box for a Brooklin that I have for sale on eBay:

@moe-parr A sticker on a box is not a proof of legitimate licensing for a model of over 30 years ago. Do you have any recent models we can see if the Trademark is used and approved under license and clearly identified on the box?

I spoke with a client of mine who is a Patent/Trademark/Copyright attorney and he'll gladly research this matter for you at his customary $500/hr. rate. Where should I have him send you his retainer agreement? 😉

Interesting question - I assume every country and every licensor may have different rules. But google can be your friend! Here is the box style from the last 10 years. (I think there must be a conspiracy, because I'm can find no image of their newest brown box online!)
I did learn something new - it looks like Brooklins may cause cancer in California... 🤨
Back when that warning first appeared on the Brooklin boxes I asked the late Bob Hooper about it. He said it was "just California being California." Bob lived in Virginia too.
....are you aware that in Virginia it's currently against the law to spit on a seagull if you live in Norfolk, or to own a skunk in Prince William County?
In Richmond, if you're deciding who pays for the coffee by flipping a coin inside a restaurant... you're committing a crime. Furthermore, all motorists are required by law to honk their horns when passing other vehicles.
Lastly, it's illegal to hunt most animals, in VA, on Sunday.
If ANYONE thinks CA is the ONLY state in America with WACKO-WOKE-OUT-DATED-BIZZARO laws on the books, well.... HA! 😀 😆 😀
Just to be clear...I was simply reporting what I thought was a humorous response from Bob Hooper. Didn't mean to start anything. I do have friends in Norfolk/Virginia Beach so it's good to know that I shouldn't spit on any gulls if I'm on the Norfolk side of the line.
@jmullinax Spitting on gulls is really stupid because they have the ultimate airborne response.....you can't win that one!

Canada has British Columbia (aka California North for decades now) as our example of WACKO BIBIZZARO. I was born in Victoria (the province capitol), lived and worked there most of my life up until four years ago when I thankfully moved to Alberta upon retirement. The cultural deterioration of British Columbia, (Victoria and Vancouver in particular) is shocking and depressing to experience; they used to be absolutely wonderful. The British Columbia of old is gone forever.
