@geoff-jowett Many thanks!
I haven't heard a peep from Ace since Thursday, so I am hopeful that they are just taking the weekend off.Â

I send them a message as well, complementing them on the Barracuda and Austin and making a future model suggestion. No acknowledgement or reply received after 3 days..

You have to search for 1:43 on their site. They have tons. Click here.Â
Go to their home page, click on "shop," then enter "1:43" in the search box on the upper left.
I clicked on your link to see what they were offering. But at the top of the page it says "Wholesale only" and they seem to be catering to businesses who want to become "registered re-sellers". Not sure if they will actually retail individual models to collectors?

Re my attempt to buy a Barracuda direct from Ace. I've just had a wonderful e-mail from Mr Hanna saying he has a friend in London who I could contact and give him the price of the model in pounds, and my model would then be dispatched. Then Mr Hanna's sister-in-law will be visiting London in May and this friend has a stash of Australian dollars and will give her the equivalent of my GBP payment in dollars to take back to Australia and hand over. Well, that's an intriguing way of making an overseas sale (although, let's be fair, he was only trying to help).

Right. But Geoff Jowett says "Although their 1/43 offerings are limited at the moment can I suggest you all keep an eye on DDA, Diecast Distributors of Australia. Their 1/24s are outstanding value for money and they are very accurate reproductions. Also they have been very responsive to any queries and suggestions I've made."Â
Does that mean he's actually been able to buy individual models from them? Maybe Geoff can clarify.

Sorry Graeme it is DDA who I have had contact with, not Ace. Also I apologise, I initially failed to mention DDA are wholesalers, although this is clear on their site. Their models can be bought off the Australia ebay, where if you are in the U.S and U.K you have the advantage of the currency exchange rate where the cost of models/postage etc is 30-50% less than the price listed in Australian dollars. Here is a link:
and one for Ace:
hope this helps in some way
