That Baby is Awesome!
"My only nitpick is the painted SS top. It's the right tone but wish it looked more like brushed SS. Sorry about the unprofessional pics."
I have to agree - all that SS should look like SS. It's close, but.... (still a great model though! )
Not sure how handy you are, but I'll bet that it could be improved with BMF (Bare Metal Foil ) which would look like the SS top on this '57 Fleetwood Brougham.
Also, you're the first collector I've known with a "kitchen collection." You must surely be a single guy.... 😏 😏
@chris The BMF is a good idea. I'm not too handy though because of arthritis in my hands. But, it might not be that hard as it's just a square area.
No, not single. I was sitting at our kitchen island having coffee and decided to take some shots. I normally keep new models close by for a few days to admire before moving them to my office.
@chris, that's funny. I'm not single, and the kitchen is the only room in the house with no cars (excepting a photo of a Citroen's door open to a landscape).
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
@whodeytink I would leave it without foil. The result for a so small model would be too shiny. I have two GLM Imperials with partial SS tops that are silver paint and they look just fine.
@nickies Thanks, Richard. I think I will leave it as is. The paint finish is not shiny, maybe like semigloss.

...for the record, BMF does offer different finishes: brushed, chrome, stainless, gold, brass, etc... Doing nothing, however, is always an option - and one I employ often! 😀 😀 😀
@chris Having been retired for 16 years I'm very adept at doing nothing.

Congratulations Mark; I feel we may be kindred spirits. I'm approaching Masters degree level myself and certainly will continue on toward my doctorate.
