Years ago at the Toledo Toy Show, I bought three of the harder to find Great American Dream Machines from a dealer who was closing out his stock. At the time, I paid the teeth gritting price of $75/each. In hindsight, that was a deal even then, but I was just venturing into white metal models and $60 for the Brooklin Airstream seemed like a lot (oh, to go back to those carefree days!)
Anyway, some more of Wayne’s collection was wrapping up on the ‘bay today and I’d thrown out some bids on the GADMs listed, even though I already had them in my collection. I expected to be outbid, but then you never know…
Well, imagine my surprise/shock to see that 1954 Oldsmobile F-88 I picked up in Toledo sell for $663! It is a beauty, but wow.
I agree with your "Wow". I would sure like to know who bought it. It was not me.

I have about 30 GADM's (including the F-88) and I will not tell you what my address is..............
@randyrusk - There are less than 20 in hobbyDB- maybe we should convince Joop to document he rest of them there for us!
I added this one - 1954 Oldsmobile F-88 - from the Wayne Moyer Collection, as well as some of his others that just sold on the bay. So most of the GADM are on hobbyDB now - if you see any missing let us know! https://www.hobbydb.com/marketplaces/hobbydb/subjects/the-great-american-dream-machine-brand
I have the Predictor. I love this car, and the model has great proportions. However, most of the detail pieces have fallen off and disappeared.
