Let's start a fun tread about our best noticeable add-ons to our collections for 2024. If you can, post a picture of the 3 best models. Mines will come later.
Because there were some obstacles and interruptions so far this year, including a move and my recovery, I still have all my model cars and enjoy them as I transfer them slowly out to my new apartment. Here are some relatively newer 1/43 models that I really like : (1) A modified civilian 1959 Plymouth Savoy (2) A 1958 Mercury Turnpike Cruiser [and a 1958 Edsel] (3) A 1958 Ford station wagon [that is currently awaiting a tail-light repair].
@mikedetorrice Four very nice models and I am especially pleased because this is, I believe, the first time I have been conscious of a Turnpike Cruiser convertible. Love your jet, as ever.
2024 isn't over yet, but I can confidently state that my favorite acquisition of the year has already occurred with this one:
A superb rendering, in the perfect color, of one of my very favorite 1:1 cars...a "Fabulous" Hudson Hornet indeed!
(I used the NB Center display case from a different model to house this spectacular Hudson)

@ed-davis not sure if it’s the same model but I have the Merc cruiser as a 57 and the Edsel as a 58 by road signature

@frank, is the second TPC coral? That's a nice-looking model!

@jkuvakas more of a red, not a great picture while in the display case. They display well I think for inexpensive diecast models. 👍

Who made the 1958 Mercury?
Ed, that 1/43 diecast replica is from Yat Ming. It is very well done and inexpensive and they also did a great version of the Mercury Turnpike Cruiser in 1/18 scale, too.
That '49 Cadillac "Show Car" is a beauty!
