I own a few duplicates, and variants of the same model - the most is 12 (which includes a few duplicates ) - but this is a bit much.    🙄 😯

I see this collector has the rare dark green (reverse colors) version smack dab in the middle there!

Also, a few other variations.

Good eye Jack, others noted that too - only, they didn't refer to him as a "collector."    The popular consensus is that, "He's a nut!"     😯 🙄 😮

.....not being a MB expert (but owning this one ) I never knew there were variations; I've only ever seen the oh-so-popular yellow/green version.    😔 😕

@chris I haven't yet seen the variation David noted, which has the green tow rig.

@bob-jackman Me too Bob.  Some call it obsessive-compulsive hoarding but to me it's brand loyalty.  Razz

An impressive collection, no question about it.

It's just a shame he didn't take the trouble to display them in a way that would give us a better appreciation of the subtle individual variations, but maybe he'll get around to it one day.

@graeme-ogg Awesome display Graeme.  Why is it that wives see this as less attractive than traditional wall art?  So strange.  This of course excludes Bob "Lucky" Jackman's missus, who is one in a million.

Earlier in this post we talked about the very rare version of this Matchbox Toys Dodge Wrecker; that being the reversed colors of dark green cab with yellow rear deck.  We noted that the eccentric collector had hundreds of the standard color version (Yellow cab/green deck) in the pic we studied (pic #1 below) but just one of the rare dark green versions placed in the center of the load.

I have just noticed that a fellow I have dealt with very many times in Florida (who is IMHO about the best restorer of vintage Matchbox/Lesney/Moko toys I have ever seen) currently has one of these dark green restored versions for sale on ebay.  Anyone who wants one at a relatively cheap price might want to check out this item as listed below.  I have bought dozens of these (and Dinky) various restorations in recent years from this man (including this particular Dodge) and have never been disappointed.  In my experience he will always take an offer of 90% of his list price....fyi.
