Here are some photos of a 1967 Mustang convertible from Greenlight in Mustang's High Country Special series. This series was a special promotion offered by the Denver District Sales Office, initially in 1966 and also in 1967. it was offered in Colorado, Wyoming, and parts of Nebraska. There were special colors and a set of factory options. The color of this model is Aspen Gold. The back side of the package (last photo) lists the options.

If you plan to buy any more Hot Wheels cars this year, you might not want to wait. I was watching the news last night and they were talking about the big shipping delays in US ports and how toy deliveries for Christmas will be impacted. They specifically mentioned Barbie dolls and Hot Wheels cars. There was no mention about Canadian ports, and I do not know if Canada has a similar problem.

Its time for me to add another Mustang model to this sequence. This time it is a Fox body 1980 Mustang from Greenlight. The Fox platform was used for Mustangs from 1979 through 1993. My father had a 1979 one with a 2.8 liter V-6 engine. This German sourced engine was only used for a short time. Ford advertised this as a Sports Car for the 1980's. I would not call this a sports car, but it was a nice car. The model appears very accurate.

The Mustang in 1979 was such an improvement to the previous 1974 to 1978 Mustang II, that I also considered buying one. Your father made a good choice Ed.
I like your both your written post and this very nicely done model by GREENLIGHT.
You now have a nice collection of Mustangs, more than me. Maybe it is time for me to buy a few more.
