What's sad is, this is really what some people do when they see that "idiot" light come on. The very reason they are referred to as "idiot" lights.

HA! Good one Geno. Thanks for the laugh!
Well at least she knew how to open the hood. My guess is many will either ignore the light or try to figure out how to disconnect it.
@bob-jackman This is yet another practical application of duct tape; to cover up those annoying dash lights!
@jack-dodds Years ago when we had a VCR, each time we had a power failure the clock would flash 12:00. Black electrical tape did the job nicely.
hmm....... I never thought of it that way. 🤔 🤔 🤔 You know, that's kind of funny! 😀 😀 😀
@bob-jackman Another great use for duct tape Bob. What I never understood is why all power outages happened at 12:00 when everyone is asleep and power usage is minimal? I'm pretty sure it was all those folks in the GMT (like the Ogg family) using their microwave ovens to prepare breakfast; our midnight is their breakfast time. It's really the only logical reason.
As complicated as today's cars are I wouldn't get much further than the lady.
❓
@jack-dodds Jack I also wondered why everything happened at 12:00.Your explanation seems logical.
