Nice car...the trim running along the entire side of the car spoils the look.

Beautiful car, overall. Usually I am put off with vinyl roofs but this looks somehow appropriate. I agree with John Bono's view on the side trim. And although protective, I always have disliked the slim chrome trim on the door edges that prevent paint dings when the door hits something solid. While this car does not have those, it has the fuel filler door trim which detracts from the car's nice styling. And, yes, I, too, love the colors!

And if you shrink it a bit you get a 1970 Ford Cortina MK III with very obvious stylistic borrowings.

Fords in bronze

Yes, they did a 2 door as well

Interesting comparison Graeme; we had many Cortinas on the roads here but I never made the design connection.  The series 1 and 2 Cortinas were great cars but in Canada this series 3 was a mechanical disaster unfortunately.

No "cigar" from me. After the beautiful '65-68 full size Fords I lost interest.

@100ford2003 Steve; I once had a 1969 LTD HT, black vinyl over red, and loved it.  The dash style took some getting used to though....

Beautiful '70 but I personally just don't care for full-size Fords'70 up.

My personal taste in Full-size Ford:

No interest '50 and before

like 51 - '56

alright '57 - '59

love '60 - '66

like '67 - '69

Don't care for '70 up

It just looks too wide and bulbous to me just like the 64 which I absolutely hated after the trim 63. Then I absolutely loved the styling of the 65 through 68. Steve
