I'm hibernating for the next couple of days. They're calling for 10-14" of snow for our area, then brutal cold. What's it looking like for your area, and what's your plans? Just curious. 😊🥶
Just got up and it is sleeting, even though the weather channel says it snowing. Expecting freezing rain today which will take out power lines. So we are on a holding pattern right now. But we are prepared. Expected to stay in the 30's most of the week. This was a big disappointment for us as we were originally told 8-10" of snow not sleet or freezing rain. We will be staying home for the next few days.
Sounds similar to what we're expecting here in New Jersey along with below freezing temps for the next 10 days.I'm hibernating for the next couple of days. @sizedoesmatter As of now they've changed it to 12-16". Our warmest day for the next week is 14 degrees, with below zero for most nights. This sucks. John, I'd sure be happy with the 30's at this point.👍🥶😟
The guys always get extra excited and preach gloom & doom and predicted 7 feet of snow here with 30 feet of ice and the earth opening up to swallow everyone. It's drizzling.
I'm hoping it's just the usual BS weatherman hype. The guys always get extra excited and preach gloom & doom and predicted 7 feet of snow here with 30 feet of ice and the earth opening up to swallow everyone. It's drizzling.

We have been buried here in Southern Ontario since early December. Despite a few melts, three feet currently on the ground. Current storm is due to hit at noon.
This is our week for the trip to see Sergio's museum in Miami. Kelly and I live in the DC suburbs. The snow was forecast for early this morning, to late this afternoon. Our area isn't accustomed to heavy snow like up north. We get several snowfalls a year. But without the heavy equipment the Northern states have, it gets problematic really quickly. With the snow coming early Sunday, we checked into a hotel last night and will stay here until Monday morning when our flight leaves. So far, at 9:00 AM, we've had about 7 inches of snow, and it is turning to sleet and icy rain. It's a nasty combination for our area. We're keeping tabs on the rest of our group who are coming from the East Coast and Midwest. So far, everyone seems in good shape to travel, even though a few have had to reschedule later flights.

Good luck to you all. This is an exciting trip. Hopefully this storm won’t be too disruptive and you will have lots to report to us when you return. I would have loved to have joined you.
Single digits temps for the next week with 18" of snow expected. Hibernating!
About 6” of powder when I got up. I work part time at a Drug Mart store up the street on weekends so I cleared my 70’ driveway. Naturally they haven’t plowed our dead end street so I’ll probably have to barrel through a 4’ barrier to get out. Can’t really tell what the temp was, I had most of the clothes I own on, but they are calling for right around 10’s for next week. Stay safe everyone!
I just got in the house 20 minutes ago, looks like another inch already.
@perrone1 Gee Tony, that's the same forecast we have except we are only supposed to get 29 feet of ice.
I went out and cleaned the vehicle off, you know, just in case. I put the ruler on the hood, it measured at 7" so far. I'm waiting until its done before I fire up the snowblower. I only want to do it once. I pray a safe and fun trip for you John. And to all, be safe if you have to be out.😊
You all take care 👍🤞🙏 and to be honest Geno, I did have a few beers while watching the auction.
