This is what I'm ordering. The dealer said to expect 8 to 10 months wait before I'm able to get the car. I actually found a C8 in Redding California almost exactly like what I'm ordering but they want a $30,000 dealer premium (standard across the country) which I will not pay. I'd rather wait for the MSRP factory-ordered car than throw away $30 grand! At any rate, I'm really excited about having this car in my garage. I said my C7 was going to be my last Corvette. However, at age 70, the C8 assuredly will be my last Corvette. 🤩

Congratulations Marty. This is well worth waiting for. Just beautiful.
Gosh, Marty, just think how many versions of this in a variety of scales you can find during those months of waiting!  Have fun! (And paint me green with envy.)

You're still a kid at 70 Marty so don't even begin to think that this may be your last Corvette
Excellent ! Corvettes of any era are the best. But ...but.. how did you get a picture of you in your Vette when it hasn't been made yet ? Must be "Back to the Future"/"Dr. Who" time warps involved here somehow .........
Love it! Good going Marty!

@jkuvakas - Yes, John. I'm trading in my C7. Recently, it's actually appreciated in value. My understanding this is not unusual with used cars right now. Apparently, it's due to the shortage of the availability of new models. Â
@mikedetorrice - The Corvette.com website enables one to "build" the car and provide a graphic representation. Of course, I couldn't resist Photoshopping my image (and the vanity plate) into the seat just to see how I'd look behind the wheel of my new car. Â
@sizedoesmatter - Are you gonna get one? The old Kerbeck, now Ciocco is selling them for just $1,500 over MSRP. However, you'll have to place an order as they have none in inventory. Â
Congratulations and please when that day comes, share with us...

Marty, for now I'm content with my C6 Grand Sport. I'm happy to hear that Ciocca has not gotten greedy, keeping the price close to MSRP. Congrats to you.Â

Marty, excellent choice. There is no reason why you cannot buy another new Corvette in the future. For example, you might want to upgrade in 10 years, when you are 80.

GORGEOUS car with performance to match. Congratulations!
