Congratulations Marty. While I like all Corvettes I think the C8s are by far the best yet. A friend just took delivery of his 2021 and I got to drive it last Saturday. One of the most comfortable cars I have ever driven. His is silver with a red interior. He traded his 2017 convertible and they gave him $15,000 more for his trade than he was expecting and paid $5,000 over sticker but didn't mind based on what he got on his trade in.

@bob-jackman - Only $5k dealer premium?ย  I haven't found a dealer that was less than $25k.ย  Most are demanding $30k for the dealer premium.ย ย

Marty, My friend has a big advantage as he owns a very large pool company and buys an average of 12 trucks a year from this dealer. Also, over the years, he has bought 31 Corvettes from them as well.

Did you drive one before ordering?

@jkuvakas - No, I'm relying on what I've read about the car, questions I've asked on Forums, and my experience with my past C5 and current C7 model.ย  I'm going to enjoy some new features and lament the loss of others.ย  For example, the cabin should be more comfortable because, with the mid-engine configuration, the exhaust will no longer heat the center tunnel and radiate into the interior.ย  For the first time ever for my personal vehicle, I'm going to have to live with an automatic transmission.ย  All of my performance vehicles had manuals, and this car will be my first without a stick shift to stir.ย  ๐Ÿ˜ฃย

@jkuvakas, I have to believe their aren't any C8 demo's out there. It's too rare a commodity. I know a few C8 buyers and not one took a test drive before they placed their order.ย  ย

I've never been a huge Corvette fan but I'm crazy about the C8. Here's the one I'd get:

C8 2 (Small) (2)

I'll have to settle for a 1:18 model, though!
