Back up camera.

I'm with him...too many gadgets. Rear facing cameras, lane change warnings, side warnings, seat belt warnings, front end crash warnings, etc., etc. I drove for seventy years without a rear camera and if I ever ran over someone I never knew it so why do I have to worry about it now?

I like all the bells, dings and bings. I drive to town on errands, mostly alone, so the sounds keep me company. 

It's not surprising that the number of gadgets is overwhelming.

I only use a small percentage of the "stuff" in my car and to be honest have no interest in most of them, other than the basics.  I just love to drive and enjoy the surroundings.

I couldn't do without my backup camera. My Fit is small, and I'm invariably parked in between two leviathans. It's a life saver.

Also my car has a camera in the passenger side mirror. Honda called it Lane Watch. Also priceless.

The rest of it I can do without.

Ed, i don’t blame you as i know about the Fit and its size. A rental I once had had the backup cameras and it saved me from backing up too fast into someone that was speeding through the parking lot so I appreciated that.  And most vehicles are getting bigger every year so I can understand what it’s like to be parked between two behemoth SUVs

I love all that stuff including the 360 degree camera system, there are 5 or 6 of them; and the alert and active braking if someone or something crosses behind or in front of me. They give me an insurance discount and at my age, I'll take all the help I can get while driving.
