A small piece of informal medical advice, which I offer free of charge.
If you sometimes encounter objects or situations which cause you to suffer debilitating episodes of fear and revulsion, you may wish to consider taking a course of Systemic Desensitization Therapy (also known as “Graduated Exposure Therapy”). This involves a process of gradually-increasing exposure to the feared object or situation, eventually leading to a state of familiarity with, and calm acceptance of, the object which previously caused fear and loathing. One may even acquire a degree of affection for something which formerly caused feelings of panic and disgust.
The results can be dramatic. For example, after four years of intensive desensitization treatment, this man actually went out and bought a used Pontiac Aztek and has enjoyed driving it ever since, and takes every opportunity to recommend it to his friends.
The fact that his current medical records still class him as “clinically insane” is neither here nor there. The man is happy and phobia-free.
Of course, all therapies have their limits, and some deep-rooted feelings of revulsion may not prove amenable to treatment.
But it’s always worth a try, and with luck you can learn to live with anything.

LOL! Your photoshop skills are excellent Graeme. And I also happen to LOVE your humor!
Don't quite understand the second comment. This was meant as serious advice, offered in good faith. How can you possibly suspect me of joking???

You're funny. I don-know, just funny.....Don't quite understand the second comment. This was meant as serious advice, offered in good faith. How can you possibly suspect me of joking???
I appreciate your medical opinion as always Graeme. I'm afraid I would need to be subjected to prolonged torture, forced to eat institutional green Jell-O and rendered legally blind to ever be attracted to this color combo. Besides, even if I did give in....how could I drive in a straight jacket?
Well, if you can't drive in a straight jacket you could always try a gay T-shirt and a pink tutu. Just a thought.
As for the prolonged torture bit, JK might be able to assist. I believe he has . . . contacts?

I tried therapy for my revulsion to spiders...the BIG ones. Didn't work so I just avoid the Countries & Rainforests they congregate in.
As for JK and contacts, I believe he has superior vision as proven by his "fantasmagorical" 1/64 & 1/43 scale model reviews 👍

I believe Jack has missed the point about the Aztek, whose design can be traumatic for anyone to endure on a prolonged basis. The only thing rescuing this poor soul from complete self-immolation was the shooting effects of the color scheme.

Finally a vehicle that looks correct in those colors.
@jkuvakas Wait a minute here.....doesn't a person need to know the point before they can miss it? Are you forgetting my educational background and IQ?
A regrettable oversight. Do please remind us, and be sure to include copies of all relevant certificates and testimonials.
These are serious times we live in, and we Forum folks deserve a good belly laugh from time to time
(p.s. What I really meant to say here was that such heartwarming news of one of our Forum colleague's achievements would bring a happy smile to all our faces. But I may have expressed it a trifle clumsily. My apologies.)

@jack-dodds, my sincere apologies. But being .2 points below you in IQ, I am unable to communicate clearly on such a high level of academia as your honorable and esteemed self. Please excuse my inadequacy.

I think we've done quite enough grovelling at the feet of a man who "gets the point" well enough when it's a decimal point and he has figured out how to reposition it to his advantage.
Having said that, one has to have a sneaky admiration for the degree of low animal cunning involved.

@graeme-ogg A floating decimal point? Hard to believe of Jack. Perhaps his intelligence quotient was graded on a curve? You know, like Deadman's Curve; in the song? Just pondering.
Well, 9.78 is magically transformed into 97.8. I'm not much of a mathematician, but it did give me pause for thought. Not so much a curve as a slippery slope, I'd say.
Of course, I expect someone will step in to point out that envy is a cruel and pernicious aspect of human nature and we should all resist the temptation to indulge it. Absolutely right.
