I'm sharing another Danbury Mint model car brochure and again inquiring from fellow Forum members, "How many of the models in the brochure do you have in your collection?

Does anyone have all of them?  I'm missing 2 of the 14 advertised, and I'm guessing as I said in the last brochure shared, you can guess which 2 I don't have.  And again, it's by my choice.

BROCHURE #2A
BROCHURE #2B
BROCHURE #2C
BROCHURE #2D

After looking at this brochure, I spent about a half hour browsing at the real models on my shelves.  Talk about relaxing time, this is fun.

...it's funny, despite building hundreds of 1/25 models as a kid, I never got into these.   I have but a handful of "MINT"  1/24 replicas - I went right into 1/18.  🤨 😶

Have them all. The two you don't have George, are the Thunderbird and Corvette.

No way, gotta be the Corvette Nomad and red 55 Corvette.

It's amazing out of all my cars, I only have 4 of these.  I think I will snap a picture and check out ebay to see what might be available.

LOL Tony, I actually have the Corvette Nomad.  And I've liked it better than the Nomad that was produced looking just like the regular Chevy front end.  Mr. Jackman got me right, I don't have the actual Corvette or the Thunderbird.

WOW!  I don't recall you ever sharing this on the Forum before.  Was there a reason you didn't get in to the 1:24 scale?

I'm always curious to know what criteria folks have for collecting.  How was it, that you didn't buy others in the catalog?  And why did you trade the Oldsmobile and for what model in trade?

I remember some years back here on the Forum a discussion about different colors of the same models.  Some folks only bought one of the colors available, and some didn't buy a model because it wasn't the color they would have preferred it to be.  Both interesting scenarios to me.  I never waited or hoped for a particular color, if I liked the car, I bought any and all colors it became available in.

I remember once that a fellow Forum member questioned my rational for that, to which I replied that back in the day, all cars came in serval colors, so I'm interested in having them in my collection.

@georgeschire George, just limited funds in my budget. Plus some I do have in different colors. On the 442, I have the FM version as I feel it's better done than the DM version. The Olds I traded for the Philly Mint "Vanishing Point" Challenger. It was just more in line with my muscle car collection. Plus it's an LE of only 250 versus 5000 on the Olds. Just preference. 😊

I had very few DM & FM models. Like Chris I found 1/18 models more affordable with a wide range of subject matter. I've a few 1/24 left that I want to give to anyone that will cover the shipping cost.
