OMG! For this one the only question is, how fast can I type CHEVY? Had the Ford been the Crown Vic, it would have been a different answer. But the plain Fairlane Victoria looked awful with that 1954 Ford high-top roof! As for the Plymouth, it was light years ahead in styling from the '54, but it too, did not contend with the gorgeous CHEVY!

When I started building models, the 55 Chevy was my favorite. Over the years the Ford has become #1 for me.
Ford, Chevy, then Plymouth for me John.
I voted tie as I really like all three.😊
All lovely, but the Chevy wins for its engineering and style. Ford second.

Love the pics! These are all wonderful automobiles from the big year of 1955 ! My Dad had a coral and grey '55 Chevy Bel Air coupe and my Grandparents had a 1955 two-tone blue 4 door Pontiac sedan. I have replicas in several scales of the Ford, ('56) Plymouth, and Chevrolet.

Chevy, Ford and Plymouth. Had this been 1956, the Ford would have been my pick. Another fun comparison John.
If it was a 55 contest, it would have been Chevy, but I went with the Plymouth for the Paint, Long Nose and Grill.
Chevrolet, Ford then Plymouth. My first driving lessons by my mother were on the 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 door.
AGREE 100%OMG! For this one the only question is, how fast can I type CHEVY? Had the Ford been the Crown Vic, it would have been a different answer. '55 Chevy Ford Plymouth
'56 Ford Plymouth Chevy
This one was harder than I thought it would be. Seeing these pics reminded me that in 1955, it was as if all the major makers woke up and said, "Hey, we're halfway through a new decade! Shouldn't our car designs look more modern?" That was the year when everybody's cars looked sensational. Is it a coincidence that it happened again exactly ten years later?
My struggling vote is Chevy, Ford, Plymouth, but I almost called it a three-way tie.

The '55 Chevy is my favorite car of its decade. The Ford is a strong second and the Plymouth a respectable third in this strong field. I would be happy to own any one of them.
