Just an update on where I am right now and why I am not posting,

I am off the forum for a while just to let you know. I just have to put all my energy into a few other things that are very important so I am not doing any looking for pictures to share plus I know I keep making mistakes that I wish I didn't make with my posting stuff that is against the forum guidelines , just one of the things I need to get control of.
I do have some health issues that right now are the most important thing. I have a second back surgery in a month and I have a very hard time walking or doing much of anything. I am trying to work on a model again since it has been over a year that I have even been in my shop and it is hard for me to sit or stand long enough and pay attention to what I am doing with it. There are other health factors that also complicate my daily activity.

I am not complaining but just letting you know what is going on right now.

I have said it before that you are all like family and I do feel real bad when I mess up.

I appreciate everyone of you and hope to return someday.

I hope this finds you well and I always look forward to your posts and emails and will
at least be looking at the forum.

God bless
Dick

You're in our prayers, Dick. My wife and I both have serious medical problems. My muscular dystrophy has seriously limited my mobility. Rest is absolutely necessary. We understand, Dick. We'll be looking forward to your recovery and seeing you back on the forum. God Bless you, brother!

Thoughts and prayers.

As much as I miss your posts, and The Lounge is not the same without them; your health and well being are the utmost importance. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Couldn't agree any more, this getting older sucks...

I'm only 63 & was stricken this past January with Transverse Myelitis - an inflammation of my spinal cord (in my neck). It's affected my nervous system & my muscle control. I have little to no feeling in my hands, a bit "gimpy" when I walk, lots of other impacts. Prognosis is anywhere from 3 months (already passed) to 3 years to realize full recovery --OR-- this could be as good as I get.

Not looking for sympathy - just sayin'...
