One of my favorite Monte Carlo designs. I'll take an SS with a 4 speed.

Monte Carlo - the first of them and still the best of them.

The Monte Carlo is just drop dead gorgeous! However, I like the Nova too.

Monte Carlo, but what's up with all of the front seat belts? A sholder strap?

PICs: I always liked the 1st gen Monte Carlo. But the 2nd gen was the runaway sales success

With its swooping fenders and giant, single headlights, it spawned the then new neo-classic look and a lot of cars, like the Cordoba, which came along in 1975, rode on its coat tails.

I think the designers at Chrysler did a particularly nice job with the humongous bumpers mandated in the mid-seventies. To me, the design was much cleaner than the Monte Carlo. The MOPARS also had great interiors.

Monte. The Firebird needs to lose the vinyl top, lakesides, and side strip to win.

Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
