Next-gen Camaro to offer manual transmission amid four-door transformation

Thank you for the information. To be honest, in my personal view, I wouldn't be interested (even if I could afford it) in the slightest in a 4-door "Camaro" driven by a four or six cylinder motor.
The 4 door just reminds me of a Kia Stinger. Sorry not my liking.
I hope that GM learned their lesson when the GTO/Holden transformation tanked (which shocked me as I loved the car). Muscle car fans can be very fickle ....and rightly so! I think Dodge pulled one out of the fire with the resurrection of the 2-door Charger option; hopefully GM will follow suit. Better to give gearheads and other car buyers a choice.
THE BOTTOM LINE - as of today's date: GM has NOT yet released any "official specs" regarding the 2028 Camaro. Smart money, as of today, suggests 2 & 4 door body styles, auto & manual transmissions, 4-cylinder, hybrid, and V8 powertrains, but NO convertibles. 😔 😔 😔
I suspect '28 Camaros will strongly resemble smaller versions of Cadillac Celestiqs - available in 2 or 4 doors.
It appears the Forum is currently experiencing a "picture post glitch." I'm sure it will be promptly addressed and corrected. 🙄 😯
@carsman1958, that pic shown in the article was a Stinger.
@chris, GM is sounding like the new Camaro will be a four-door of some configuration, but not what we expect. The Celestique is on a dedicated electric platform, and it is huge. It sounds like the new Camaro will share its platform with the refreshed Cadillac CT6.

@jkuvakas Correct. I noted that I believe '28 Camaros will resemble Cadillac Celestiqs albeit much smaller; there's NO way they'll be sharing ANY Celestiq components. '28 Camaros will be, most likely, built utilizing Cadillac's CT5 (Alpha 2 ) platform.
Currently, Cadillac does not offer the CT6 in north America, only China, and there are no plans to resume domestic production in 2028.
