Well, it's not going to win any stoplight races but it's a cool little car. The front end has styling cues of the 1955 T-bird, while the rear to that of the '57. The hard top looks similar to the 1956-62 Corvette's removable hard top. With the 3-cyl engine it probably gets great gas mileage. Yeah, this would be a fun car to own.
heres a quick walkaround video. IMHO its styling goes a bit beyond design cues. If it was a hit song I'd reckon the Ford singer would be suing the Audi singer! really interesting choice again John, thanks
Another cool choice for the library of auto knowledge John. Yeah, I imagine everyone will see a small T-Bird in this one. Would serve as a nice car in European cities with narrow streets and roads. Be fun in the open countryside!
Another one that I have driven. A friend's father imported these into Toronto back then. He was a Mercedes dealer but had some unusual other German imports at the time. The one I drove was a Coupe, I think. Got to try a demo. Fun to drive bur not the quickest car by far.
I have a model of this in 1/18 scale but can't get to it to identity the maker of the model.
Yep, looks like a T-bird. Pretty cool little car.

John, I know you're like me and want to be first in line when we both buy David's book about his car exploits. Do you think he'll autograph one for each of us? Sure hope so!

Wow, talk about T-Bird styling cues! I think I see some ‘60 Buick in the tail lights and upturned fins. Or, I’m just dreaming.
