What a CLASSIC John! The DB5 is a gorgeous car. I suppose it will always be linked to the James Bond character.
A couple days ago I saw the new "Goldfinger" Rolls Royce Phantom. A homage to the car in the 007 movie of the same name.
The DB5 is IMHO the most beautiful Aston Martin ever made; just a stunning car.
@perrone1 Tony, the RR is nice for sure, but I'd be happy with the DB5.

@perrone1, that Rolls is a one-off with 18-24k gold trim inside and a gold scale model in a special compartment in the console!

I prefer the DB4 with its exposed headlights, but we're talking beauty vs. beauty. Oh and then the DB9...

@ed-glorius One of my favorite diecast when I was a kid was the James Bond 007 Corgi with the ejector seat, I believe it was 1/32, a real treasure. Around the same time I got the ultimate for Christmas, a 007 slot car race set, a Sears exclusive. It had six large sections that were assembled to make up an amazing layout. The DB5 is one of the all time, perfectly proportioned sports car that I would put on a shelf with the ‘61 XKE, ‘63 Vette, the ‘64 AC,
and the ‘64 Ferrari GTO, in my opinion, timeless classics from the ‘60’s.
I have a 1/43 scale model of the Rolls that was in the movie.
You'd have to be living on Mars to not know about this car wouldn't you? Loved reading the Bond history, didn't realise there were so many used in that many films. Thanks John B
I would love to hear His Majesty's unguarded remarks on this Rolls - given they're using the national anthem to showcase it. It would be very nice if it didn't have the Goldfinger plate - and the anthem! A yellow/ black scheme is classic for a Rolls Royce: does anyone remember 'The Yellow Rolls Royce' movie 1964?
