I'm no longer young, so the luxury of the Riviera wins out.

'63 Buick OR Chevrolet??? Baloney; I want 'em BOTH!! John, you're genius is showing through!
After careful deliberation I have decided that, for 1963; indeed, ALL of the '60's, there is no more iconic car than the Split Window Coupe Corvette.
The reason for it being iconic:
Sixty Three Riv vs Split Window. What can I say - YOU DA MAN!!
Normally I would take a personal luxury car over a sports car. I am not a fan of Buicks and have never cared for the Riviera's styling. The Vette today, looks beautiful, I would not drive one though [I don't fit] nice garage art though.
Tough choice, but I had to go with the Corvette.
My favourite Corvette. What can I say?
Both are gorgeous cars but IMHO they represent two different car categories; sports car and luxury coupe. Nonetheless it's the stunning and iconic Corvette for me.
Jack, some times we have to stretch the envelope. The category is "cars that make a statement".Both are gorgeous cars but IMHO they represent two different car categories; sports car and luxury coupe. Nonetheless it's the stunning and iconic Corvette for me.

Recently I had the opportunity to drive a friend's Split Window to a Corvette show. The car is Sebring Silver with a black interior, four speed, aluminum knock offs and factory A/C. There was time when there would be no doubt that I would pick the Corvette but now I would pick the Buick. Ether would be fun to look at in my garage but the Buick would also be comfortable to drive.
To my eye, the '63 Riviera is a styling MASTERPIECE and it wins my vote today!

@moe-parr I totally agree that the Riv is a gorgeous automobile, I’ve always loved it’s one of a kind styling and proportions. The problem I’m having with this pair is that they are so far apart in comparison shopping. Chevy really didn’t have a model in this fairly new personal luxury class, the closest choice in my opinion would be the Grand Prix, or really pushing it, the Starfire since you’re buying GM.
Ji voted Corvette but really would take either one. Preferably both!
