Spectacular model and pics!I absolutely LOVE the Jag D Type! I remember, only once, watching the single winged D race. But the love affair continued; albeit, sans fin!

@sizedoesmatter Thank you John. It's a 1/18th AUTOart Jaguar from 1951 I believe. It's not a D, but a 120-C. Very similar styling.
All beautiful!
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
I echo Tony's comments....just a gorgeous and iconic car.
Sorry, I'll be the one in the crowd that just walks right past it, as if it weren't even there. With no offense intended to those that love it, to me it's just a Go-Cart.

Different strokes for different folks, George. The short nosed Jaguar D Type is my favourite all time race car. The C Type shown by Tony is a close second. Watching these cars race in the early 1950s started me in a lifetime hobby. I currently have over 1300 Jaguar models in my collection in all scales.
@david-green David, some get it, some don't.

OMG! I'm hyperventilating! Along with the BMW507 my favorite car design. I actually recall thinking how great they were back in the 1950s when the odd one raced here in Australia, including in our original GP.
Took me years to find the Spark 1/24 version, and I probably paid too much when I found one locally (thanks Lu).
And I've made a kit 1/24 of the SKSS. Love the 'mystique' behind the SKSS. "After Jaguar temporarily retired from racing as a factory team in 1956, the company offered the remaining unfinished D-Types as XKSS versions....On the evening of 12 February 1957, a fire broke out at Jaguar's Browns Lane plant and destroyed nine of the 25 cars that were in various stages of completion" I'll do a repaint of this kit one day.
And the earlier C type. Probably the rarest model in my collection. I think Lu has one, Chav too maybe? A hand made 1/24 Historic Replicars.
I also have excellent 1/43s of all 3 cars and a 1/18 of the D Type.
Thank you John B. Grateful for the opportunity to bring them all to the forefront for a bit.
