'62 Oldsmobile or Pontiac?

Maybe the best year for the Starfire. And who doesn't love that front end sculpture of front bumper morphing into a fender that surrounds the grille? But then, look at that Grand Prix. The roof styling, split grille, muscular bulge running the side length of the car. And OMG, the wheels.
I'll possibly be bucking the traffic here, but I'm going Poncho Baby!!

This was tough as I like both. Love the sculptured body lines of the Pontiac and the eight lug wheels. Love the aluminum side trim, grill and rear panel of the Oldsmobile. Olds but it was close.

Love both, but the Pontiac is a big win. It's understated but shows muscle under its style.

'61 Pontiac, '62 Oldsmobile, '63 tie, '64 Pontiac, the best of GM.

Best looking Olds of its decade bar none. Pontiac is really, really nice but I prefer the '61 and '63. Olds gets the nod.

OLDSMOBILE! To my eyes no car for '62 from any of the Big Three comes close to it.

Two great designs! But the Pontiac is more scarce and represents the beginning of a bit of a dynasty for the brand. I vote Pontiac.

Oldsmobile this time. Like the Pontiac but the overall styling of that Starfire really catches my attention.

They are both beautiful cars, but this time, the Pontiac gets my vote.

Back in the day when our crew of car guys would be wishing and hoping for our dream ride, the Starfire was not even a blip on our radar. It's the GP for me.
