@mikedetorrice, I wholeheartedly agree. Government over-regulation defeats the purpose of a free market. The market should determine how many electric cars are made.

Tesla thoughts from the Tesla owner...

With my Tesla burns my diecast collection, so forget the Tesla, pray for my diecast guys, cool one of the kind stuff there, not mass produced EV toasters.  

You know how mental coaches tell you to avoid eating sweets by not having them in the house, or to use only cash to save money ... well, that is my strategy of not wrecking the Tesla, I am driving the boring old and "reliable" Subaru Forester 2011, and my wife drives the fun Tesla (of course her driving is nothing like mine, so the car is in safe hands).  

Long ago I believed film cameras will always be superior to digital cameras, well I learned my lesson...  

I hate my white Tesla's lack of personality, only five colors ... stupid ... now in Ann Arbor MI at any intersection there are at least 3 white Tesla's zooming in all direction, I wonder why? Why are all these intelligent people (Ann Arbor is supposedly very intelligent city) are wasting their money on stupid white EV's ready to catch fire any second. 

And my best secret, I am paying for my Tesla by shorting TSLA
