Just goes to show how a post goes to hell in a handbasket.

You're right, of course, John. The picture shows no one admiring it or giving it the attention it deserves. No one under the age of 55 or so would have a clue as to what it is, or better still, was! No idea of the miles and pain it entailed to restore it. 

Then people like Jack and me get blitzed on martinis and drip olive juice on the running boards. Hell, millennials never even HEARD of running boards.

But as I mentioned in my first response here, that Caddy is exquisite! We old timers appreciate things that never will be again because we followed such cars when they were younger, full of energy and the apple of most people's eye. 

We'd dream of stepping out of such an automobile to the looks and loving glances of anyone within eye shot. Go into a nice restaurant, pressed jacket and neatly tied tie. Today they go in with a tee shirt and shorts and forget who they are with as they dial up Facebook on their phone while the waiter brings their Perrier!
