Whoa! Buick for me, but that Packard is absolutely gorgeous!
Can't choose...both are absolutely gorgeous. Dead-even tie for me.
That's the best-looking '54 Caribbean I've ever seen. Had it been in the usual lavender or red, the Buick would have been my choice.
Packard without that tire on the back.
Buick
I'm pretty sure that all 400 '54 Caribbeans had the continental spare, Bill.
I've never seen a photo of a '54 without it, and the same goes for the '53. I'm not a big fan of continental kits, either, but I do like it on the Caribbean.
This has to be of the tougher choices I can remember. Buick.
Buick Skylark. The '54 has been a life-long favorite for me. I recall standing on Broadway as a little kid in about 1960. A locally-owned '54 Skylark drove past, and I recognized immediately that it was something very special -- almost like a Motorama dream car that you could have actually purchased at the local Buick dealer.
Packard by an inch...in spite of the Continental kit. Prefer '53 Buick.
I pass on both.
You are correct about the continental kit. I just don't like them at all.
Packard please.
Tough call......going with the Packard.

Nor do I. The '54 Carribean was the least offensive looking continental kit of all makes over the years IMO. The worst was the '56 T-Bird...ruined its look.
