I have to respond "no interest" on this one.  They do both look good in red though.

I really like both but I'd love most driving that Cord with all its unique features.

Both are favorites of mine.  I’ll give the edge to the Auburn.

Choosing between these two is just impossible for me.  Both of them are among the greatest of classic cars, both dominate any show in which they appear, and both seem to have no end in sight for their financial value.  Yet they are very different in their styling.  The Auburn looks back as well as forward, with that dominant grill, the boat-tail rear, and fender curves that never seem to end.  The Cord looks to a future from the Depression years with new shapes, new concepts, and underneath was a lot of new engineering.  I still remember the first Cord I ever saw, in for servicing at a garage near my college residence.  Magnificent!  So are they both.  I can't make a choice.

@d-m-holcombe, well said, David. Ultimately, I went with the Auburn for its racy looks.

I pick the Cord for its unique looks and engineering.  It looks great in red; haven't seen one in this color before.

If offered my choice of one of these 2 magnificent classics I’d have to choose the Auburn.

Cord. As beautiful as they both are, the Cord wins for me with its revolutionary style.

I have driven a Cord with its finicky preselector gear changer and I pick the Auburn with it's more conventional shifter. Neither car would ever leave my garage if they ever found their way there.

Can't pick one so it's a tie for me.
