Poll: Which '47? (5/30/2021)

John this is one of the toughest ones you have ever presented IMO. After much thought I have picked the Pontiac but it was back and forth for a while. I look forward to these comparisons and thank you for your efforts.

The Mercury design, which is somewhat traditional appeals more to me.

My father drove a 1947 Pontiac in the late 50s early 60s that old 4dr sedan was then given to me in 1964 and I drove for a further 2 years before selling it on, was still a reliable runner even then.lol

so yep I’ll give the old girl a solid thumbs up!

I like the way the front fenders flow into the door on the Pontiac, plus the fender skirts make it look more "upscale" to my eyes vs. the Mercury.

I like the merc,  the wood on the Pontiac looks stuck on or forced into the design.

Took a while, but Pontiac.

Very close but I prefer the smoother lines and nose of the Pontiac.

I voted for the MERCURY.  I like the lessor bulbous fenders.  To me it looks a little more modern.
