Chrysler. It looks like old money instead of nouveau riche.

Retired in Dunedin, Florida.

I thought Buick when I read the 1st line, but looking at them, I gotta go with the Chrysler, it looks like it has more class and distinction.

Tougher than I thought it would be.  My decision comes down to the CHRYSLER.  I think it looks slightly more modern and I like the instrument panel much better.  Very good comparison!

Nice cars but they don't interest me.

Going with the tie, while yes the Chrysler definitely is more modern looking I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for the 48 Buick convertible….

Chrysler, greatly resembles my first ride a '48 Dodge. The vertical grill on the Buick turns me off.

This is the perfect comparo...these cars were the closest of direct market competitors, and both in extremely flattering colors! A++, John!

It's a literal dead heat for me, impossible to choose one over the other, so I default to my "ties go to the Mopar" position and vote for the Chrysler.

Interesting what you say about the vertical grill of the Buick turning you off.  The big toothy grills of the late '40s/early 50's Buick's were what most car lovers liked about them.  It was a time in auto history when most cars had something that became their "trademark" feature or "identifying" styling que.

I’m going with the Chrysler which just seems a a little more sophisticated somehow. The Buick grill does put me off a bit despite me knowing it is part of the car’s ‘signature’.

Back in 1947 our neighbor bought a Chrysler New Yorker Convertible with the Highlander plaid interior.  I decide I'd buy one when I grew up.  Finally bought one about ten years ago......the Danbury Mint 1:24 model.

@georgeschire  You are 100% correct, most people. One of the reasons I dislike most buicks.  Add to the grill the big check mark the side trim makes on some, and the sound their straight 8 made with the dynaflow. plus the way they handled turned me off.  That was late '40's models I got to ride in back in the late '50's made me a Buick disliker.   I have the same problem with the DeSotos and the toothy grin or even Jeeps.  I prefer grills horizontal. Just doesn't seem right to me vertical.
