The Hudson for 1948 to 1953 are awesome cars. I 'd take one of them over just about anything except maybe a Packard.

I really like the Buick but the "Step-down" Hudsons are superbly styled and engineered, and the winner for me today.

There was a time; '48 to '53 when certain U.S. manufacturers (Hudson, Ford) were offering a cleaner, up-scaled European ponton body which is arguably more modern and attractive than the heavily sculpted G.M. offerings. However, G.M. won the day and set the style for the decade. I would have the Hudson, but give Buick the gold star for 'answering the question correctly'!
Hudson but I really like both a lot.
Sorry guys have to go against the grain here, been a fan of the 48 Buick convertible since forever.
I'd really rather have the big, bold Buick.
"When better cars are built, Buick will build them."

Perhaps the newly revised slogan should be, "When better SUVs are built, Buick will build them."
