DeSoto to me in this pairing seems to be in another class.

David, without a doubt. In my attempt to keep things interesting I sometimes exceed class limits. This series has been going on since 2017...maybe it's time to pull the plug?

Don't you dare Gumbah! I look forward, each morning to the daily serving of "Which.." far more than my morning coffee, news-of-the-day or grits & salt!!

Seriously John, this is the best and my most favorite part of the day!

@sizedoesmatter Pull the plug....oi vey!  Fugetaboutit John....it's the highlight of my morning!

Btw...I don't see the DeSoto in a different class of car as the Pontiac; they always seemed well matched to me.

@sizedoesmatter This point of vehicles being compared occasionally being seen by various individuals as being of differing classes is inevitable IMHO.  Other examples I can think of in this regard are Mercury vs. Ford, Pontiac vs. Chevrolet/Dodge/Plymouth, and of course there are many more.  When John offers up vehicles for comparison and/or listing of preference, the "sticker price" of the cars is only one consideration for me, but it doesn't preclude  a cheaper car from being a strong competitor due to other features I like more.  We inevitably have different likes and dislikes, which makes the subject all the more interesting.

Personally I don't think that the subject of comparing vehicles can ever become stale or repetitive as there are so many marques, body styles and generations to consider.  Then there are pickup trucks, foreign vehicles, etcetera....lots of great stuff to debate.  If occasionally there is a comparison offered from an earlier time then so be it.  It doesn't bother me a bit (if I even remember...lol) in fact I have noticed that my opinion on various vehicles occasionally changes due to comments put forth by Forum members.  It's all good and I definitely would love to see it carry on for as long as John sees fit....the longer the better.

Please keep going John @sizedoesmatter like others I do look forward to your post.

Difference price points don't really bother me, but I find it tough to compare a '62 Caddy to a '62 Falcon. What tough for me is trying to compare two different types of cars, say Impala to a Camaro. But some people enjoy no matter what. Just because I find it tough, please don't stop.

How can I possibly pull the plug after reading your responses. Many of you have been with me since the get-go. If it wasn’t for you, the series would have dissolved a long time ago. Thanks for your ongoing support.
