Well John, you've done it again. In the first place the Lincoln is powered by a V8 and wears a trim body, on the other side is a very elegant statement in design with a whisper quiet high torque straight eight. Very tough decision for me but I vote Packard.
It's stodgy, lumbering and stoic looking. But it is also stately and calls back to a great time in automotive engineering. I'll take the Packard please; even though I love both cars.
(You're at the top of your game here John - well done sir!)
This was difficult for sure. I went with the Lincoln because of its modernity.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
It is a monster but I still love it. The Packard!
The Packard's nose just says "Look at Me" Vote Packard.
In my neighborhood [300+ families] only one family had Packards and I never cared for the (in those days) different/weird styling. There was a couple of used Lincolns which, looked similar to the Hudsons I loved. Soo, today I choose the Lincoln.
I'm a long time fan so the Packard gets my vote, but I also like the Lincoln.
Gents, thanks for the responses.

I like the Lincoln for its wide one piece windshield and that sad looking “face”.
