Both are great-looking high-class rides for 1955. I am very happy to have some scale diecast models of this era Imperials and Lincolns, although in 1/18 scale my Imperial model is a 1956 version.
The Imperial does what it's supposed to do: be a full on luxury car. While I like the Lincoln it's down-market in comparison.

The Imperial is a beautiful, classy car. The Lincoln for ‘55 unfortunately is not, at least in my opinion.
Imperial, by a large margin!

The elegant Imperial gets my vote. The Lincoln wouldn't be a contender for another year.
I'm with Ed Glorius on this. The Imperial speaks luxury but the Lincoln, while a great car, appears too much like a Merc or Ford. Imperial for me too.
Yes, Imperial all the way. 💯😎
I agree with everyone else. Imperial for me.
Guess I'm the lone minority vote on this one. Though I agree the Lincoln was a carry-over from '54 styling and certainly appeared to be forgotten by it's Ford and Mercury sisters, to my eyes it just appears a little more normal looking. Now as strange as this might sound, if it had been compared to a Chrysler, I'd have popped for the Chrysler. But the Imperial was just enough over the top from the Chrysler for me to vote Lincoln.

Lincoln please John. imperial is just too large a beast.
Imperial. The '55 Lincoln was about 3 notches below mediocre.
I’ve always liked the ‘55 Lincoln. Never been an Imperial guy.
