Both are great looking cars but I prefer the sleeker styling of the Chevy.

I hate to be the spoiler here regarding the love for the Chevy, but I'm taking the PLYMOUTH. To my eyes the Chevy is too heavy looking in the front compared to the more rounded look of the Plymouth, which looks more compact and comfortable.

John, the Plymouth shown is a 50 not a 49. For 49 I would vote tie. If the comparison were for 1951, I would choose the Chevy as it is one of my favorites with the cleaned up grill.

Good eye Bob...I like the '49 much better.

It sure is...good going Bob. I replaced the '50 with a '49.

Bob / John - You Da MEN!!
@georgeschire George, I'm with you on this pairing. The early 50 Chevy's do nothing for me until we hit 1955.
I like the '49 to '52 Chevys, '52 being my pick. Like the '48 Plymouth but don't care for the '49 to '54 Plymouths.
We had a '49 Chevrolet...so it gets my vote.
